Today is my last day here at Kasteel Well… it’s insane. Everyone is either in their rooms now, finishing packing and undergoing room checks, or walking around the grounds for the last time. I’m pretty much all the way packed, I’m just working on finding a luggage weight/scale so I can weigh my big suitcase and make sure it’s not over 50 lbs (not going to have another 49 lb scare…). After our room check at 2:30, Megan and I are going to do some errands, and then farewell festivities begin at 5.

It is absolutely beautiful out today - high 60s, maybe even 70. I can hear the fountain outside my window, people talking in the hallway and above our room. Oh, and also the really loud ducks in the moat. It’s so beautiful here, and I will definitely miss that the most about the Castle. I’m so, so excited to go home though… in about 30 hours, I’ll be back in Boston! Megan, my friends, and I are going to China Town for dinner… finally, I’ll be able to fulfill my 3-month craving for chinese food!!

These next few hours are going to be really busy for me, so I’ll say my goodbyes now: Thank you, Kasteel Well, for a great spring semester. Sure, it was kind of hard at times, but I’m so, so glad that I decided to take advantage of this opportunity. Like I said before, if I had the chance to do it all over again, I would. I learned so much in these three months - about myself and about growing up. I’m excited to go back home and share my stories and experiences with the people I love. I need to prepare myself for the reverse culture shock that is about to take place, though - I might freak out when we arrive at Logan. English overload!! Also, I hope I’ll be able to adjust back to the time change smoothly… not looking forward to that process, haha!

And THANK YOU for following my blog as I traveled across Europe! I really hope that it was interesting, and that I may have inspired you to visit certain cities. I loved all the places I went to (for the most part), and I can’t wait to come back and see them again. But for now…
